I loved the way Mr Gates shared her article with everyone. She also believes that the changing workforce (more women involvement) has been responsible for helping our workplaces evolve. Co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Melinda Gates recently wrote about the workplaces we send our daughters to, those which are made for our dads. Why? Critics help us improve, and encouragers are a constant support in our growth. Both are important - the critics and the encouragers. It is about a human, a living being wanting another living being to thrive and succeed. It is not about men not wanting women to lead them it is about women not supporting other women to grow. There are men who want a healthy competition and admire the women who challenge their skills and conscious. It reminds us of the glass ceiling that still exists The glass ceiling that is, at large, struggled to be broken by women and men as well. When a woman speaks of equal pay at the workplace or anything ‘equal’, she is regarded as a bossy feminist by those who see her as a challenging competition who might reach higher earlier than them. We, as women and more as humans, have to deal with all so do men. Apart from those, there lives a population that believes in workplaces that are diverse and not gender-biased.
Some might just ignore some stories because they comprise ‘feminism’ or ‘women with opinions’ in a celebrated presence or in a specific literary fashion.
